Riding back at my home compound

Steve-bike1You know what's a bloody crying shame?  Having a sweet compound that you've poured blood, sweat and a lot of money into and having it not even being ridden.  It's been 5 months since I rode at the old farm, and after a few days of mowing on the little ride-on mower, whipper snippering, pushing dirt and generally trying to find jumps under the long grass I managed to get some riding in!

What made it better was having my girlfriend Rachael riding on her brand new DRZ 125 around on her track I made her.  I made the track probably a year ago for her to ride her little TTR 50 on, but now I had to beef a couple of the jumps up for her now that she has the bigger bike. Rachael---jumping It's been ages since she's ridden properly so it was awesome to see her nail some of the jumps and pick up her riding so quick.

A lot of the dirt jumps were overgrown and everything had grass on it too, even just a little makes it fairly slippery with the winter dew on it all.  With some rain ruts in some dirt jumps it was definitely more work to get through the whole course.  I've also had time off with injury so it was awesome to come home and jump my own dirt jumps to build my confidence up on all sorts of jumps.  It only took about 5 minutes before I felt my groove and felt like I did when I was 100%.  Definitely a good sign.

Check the sun-set shots out, and Rach getting a little bit of air-time too!Steve---Ruler
