Today I received a YouTube link to the HGMtv clip of the hot lap from my home compound that was aired on FuelTV in Australia and I decided why just keep it for myself... why not share it with you all.
The Home Grown Maniacs TV show has been airing on FuelTV since May and has been one of the best shows in ratings on FuelTV all year. The best part is it's all Australian made and run by good old Holtzy who has been HGM for many years now!
With 258,000 viewers its just what Australian FMX needed and FuelTV have asked HGM to do a second season. FuelTV are already replaying the entire season which is airing now, and they are contracted to replay as much as they want for the next 2 years.
I spent quite some time both riding and presenting segments for the 13-week first season of HGMtv which was one hell of an experience.
But on this day, it was my job to do the Hot Lap segment where I show you exactly what the Sommy Farm looks like from where I'm sitting - on the bike.
This is my home compound at mum's property, and if you've ever driven past the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and driven through Tiaro, you're more than likely seen these jumps on the side of the highway.
Anyway, enough talk, check the video for yourself... oh and try think how hard it would be to judge gaps, do tricks and also talk the entire time for a helmet cam video haha.
