This is fresh news that I have signed a sponsorship deal with Motoz tyres for season 2010. For the best hook up in the dirt, sand, rubber and concrete, I have been given a distinct advantage with getting traction and safety with the Australian based Motoz tyres brand.
For 2009 while I was riding the Yamaha, I tried the natural rubber compound of the Motoz tyre for the first time when Schuie ordered a set of treads for me through his wife Lesley's Boonah shop, Banditts.
The first thing I noticed was how incredibly easy the back tyre was to put on. I literally pulled the walls to the side and could fit my whole hand in there to put the tube in place, and talk to anyone, putting on a back tyre is usually the most frustrating thing you can do with maintenance. So that passed the first test - ease of installing onto the rim.
The second thing that just blew me away was after 9 months of having the Motoz Tractionator X-Circuit on both front and rear, I still sold my bike with those same tyres on with roughly 70% tread at time of sale. Talk about longevity. I was going through other brands within a couple of months and also having tubes pinching but with the Motoz I didn't have any of these issues. I honestly couldn't stop talking about how good they were.
When it came to me looking to sign sponsors for season 2010 and now riding my new KTM 250SX, Motoz was the first tyre company I had on my list and really the only tyres I wanted to ride with. And isn't it great when things you hope for work out that Motoz offered me a great sponsorship deal for 2010 and I'm extremely excited to try out the other tyres in their range.
You can visit their website at www.motoz.com.au and they also have new sizes coming in with their range to offer 19 inch tyres in the Tractionator I/T and S/T treads. |
