18112009052While I was in Indonesia last week I was picked up at the airport in Jakarta by who I presumed was simply a driver for the Powercross promoter, Mr Judiarto.  Little did I know our driver was the man who started the first motocross magazine in Indonesia and has been heavily behind the growing FMX scene!

Doddy was one cool bloke, and it pays to always be nice to everyone you meet, you just never know who they may be :)
When I watched him riding on a RM-Z 250 for the TV ad, I was thinking, yeah he must be roughly into his 30's.  I couldn't believe it when he said he was 43 years old.  "No way!" I said.  Doddy still gets around on the bike better than most FMX riders can in their prime.

During the course of my stay I met up with Doddy a few times and I arranged to get a little interview with him and find out a bit more about the Indonesian scene and give the Aussie fans a chance to see smaller area's getting into FMX.
