It feels like just yesterday I was arriving home from the 5 weeks of Indonesian shows, and now it's time to do it all again. The 2009 Powercross season was one of the most interesting international trips I've had, and the 2010 season looks to be even better with shows finishing on the exotic island of Bali.
This year we have a new bunch of riders, more shows, more weeks of racing with international riders and more riders from Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and perhaps Europe.
From October 2nd until November 13 there will be 7 straight shows all throughout the island of Java an finishing with one show on the island of Bali.
This year we have a few riders to join the ranks. Of course I'm going back, and also semi-Indonesian resident Josh Sheehan. The man loves Indonesia, he's been there more times than I've had hot dinners. Actually one man who has more would be Kim Ashkenazi who will be returning for some of the rounds of Supercross.
Back to FMX, we have Mitch McHardy coming all the way from New Zealand to join us, Ash Rogers will be a fill in rider for a couple of weeks and also Matt Lewis will be filling in also.
The best news I just received though was the promoter managing to find me a 2010 KTM 250SX 2 stroke bike! Last year I rode the shows on a 4-stroke which was a real big change and made life a little difficult since I was coming from the 2 stroke. But this year, I'll be jumping on the bike I ride at home and hopefully won't have any issues getting used to the big girl.
With less than a month now before we head off, things are getting very busy organising riders to get there but it will be more than worth it. With some of the best days riding I've had like last year's Malang mountain trail ride on an automatic clutch KTM 450SX-F to chilling out in water parks and going on slides all day, we're really looking to have some fun.
So keep checking back as I will be updating this very page with photo's, video's and more details of it.
