After 3 and a half months of playing Wii, contemplating life and watching more than my fair share of day time television I’m back on the bike and riding with my mate Schuie at his home at Boonah. I probably wasn’t ready to get on, but isn’t it always the case a little peer pressure gets you moving.
After 2 weeks of putting around the motocross track and re -learning all the skills and building confidence I was back hitting ramps this week at 75ft. Most of my tricks came back very quick as if I hadn’t even been off the bike which was a huge confidence boost. I’m now concentrating on developing all my natural terrain skills and of course there’s no shortage of scary jumps at Schuie’s to get me back into it. Once again, thanks to Brad from GB Orthopaedics for getting me the new set of knee braces that I broke in the crash, they are working great. Hopefully I don’t have to rely on another set ever again! And Lifestyle Therapies for their continual support with physiotherapy and Q-Magnets for healing. |
