Collarbone-X-RayLooking at the X-Ray the Southlands hospital in Invercargill, NZ took and the doctors there thought it was fine to let my collarbone just sit there and heal as it is now, you'd be thinking I might as well be in Ipswich hospital in Brisbane and no one wants to be there.

Well I arrived back in Australia and went and saw my old Shoulder specialist who reconstructed my right shoulder 6 years ago, Dr Gilpin.  He said he couldn't believe the NZ doctors didn't do surgery straight away as the bones are nowhere near each other.  So with the X-Ray in hand he's booked me in for surgery on Monday 22nd.

The good news to come from it is with a plate in the collarbone I'll be back on the bike sooner than ever, once it's stable it will begin knitting and should be back on the bike in a couple of weeks which is great news as I have my next show in roughly a months time.  I'm just stoked I'm not missing out on anything while I'm out for a short time.

Even back in Brisbane it's raining everyday so I'm not even missing out on riding time so to be honest I'm not that worried.  It just feels weird every day with my collarbone just pushing against the skin and moving around with lots of clicking.  I just have a week of that to go and then I'll be all sweet.

So check the X-Ray - I thought it was pretty cool!
