I'm just heading to the Brisbane international airport again for the next trip this year to the land of the long white cloud for the New Zealand Farm Jam competition. Last year when I headed over it was the best and most fun competition I've ridden in and this year aims to be even better.
My bags are packed with half a motocross bike and I'll be giving Virgin Blue a run for their money with the sporting allowance on excess baggage and not to mention there will be the Aussie contigency with me. Joe Sheppard, Jake Bowen, Rhys Hillier and FreeriderMX editor Simon Makker.
The Farm Jam comp has been beefed up with Dan Frew building bigger jumps and lipping all the jumps up to get some extra height off the tip. The MTB and BMX sections have been beefed up as well so we should see a 100% improvement on last years comp.
This isn't the only thing we're doing though, with 2 freeride sessions planned for the 6 day trip but you'll just have to wait and see what we come up with!! (And just remember New Zealand has the best hills in the world for dirt bikes!)
Check back every day as I'll keep this spot updated with photo's and stories.
