Steve---RulerThe 2009 Precise Scaffolding X-Kings was looking to be one of the toughest competitions with new entrants bringing 360's and Ruler Flips, against the likes of Adelburg who is one of the most flawless riders ever.  There was definitely some spills that caused drama's and changed the final results.

Robbie Adelberg cleaned up the 2009 Precise Scaffolding X-Kings event in Mackay on the weekend, but local 360-er Clint Moore pushed him all the way in an epic battle.

Adelberg had his hands full right from the get-go, as he and Bundaberg's Moore traded blows in the hot skies above Leprechaun Park.

The stoush was made slightly easier for the pair when fellow front-runner Josh Sheehan hit the dirt early in practice when he clipped the back of his bike coming back from a Nine o'Clock Nac. Sheeny knocked himself out and went to hospital as a precaution, but was released a few hours later.

In the Freestyle final, Moore threw down a 360 Nac to One-Handed Lander as he pushed hard to take the win, but Adelberg's silky smooth riding, perfect execution and massive Flip tricks were enough to take the title by a tiny margin.

"I've gotta give it to Clint, he rode really well today," Robbie said afterward. "It was a tough comp and I had to do every trick I knew to beat him."

RFDmx's Joe Sheppard further extended his FRMX Rider Of The Year Award lead by placing a solid third, with Brisbane's Steve Sommerfeld finishing fourth.

Moore ended the day with the fattest paycheck after winning the Best Trick comp, while local rider Dan O'Brien shocked the 5000-strong crowd with a massive Turndown on his way to winning the Best Whip comp.

The Mackay X-Kings was a one-day action-sports festival with FMX, BMX and wakeboarding competitions, as well as a Battle Of The Bands competition.

Keep an eye out for issue #59 of Freerider MX (due out January) for a full story on the comp.
